“The Attorney-General’s kind remarks are noted and appreciated,” he wrote. “I’ve spoken to Ed Burns and we are prepared to go to work on season six of The Wire if the Department of Justice is equally ready to reconsider and address its continuing prosecution of our misguided, destructive and dehumanising drug prohibition.”

Here’s a complete list of worthwhile US Senators
Sen. Thomas Coburn (R, OK)
Sen. Thomas Harkin (D, IA)
Sen. Mike Lee (R, UT)
Sen. Jeff Merkley (D, OR)
Sen. Ron Wyden (D, OR)
Sen. Rand Paul (R, KY)
Sen. Bernard Sanders (I, VT)
So chosen as they are the only ones who did their fucking job as a check for the executive branch and voted against the outrageous “National Defense Authorization Act.”
Said act basically legalizes the indefinite holding without trial of US citizens, so long as the current presidential administration says they think you might be connected to terrorist activities.
Seriously, if your Senator isn’t on this list you owe them a stern-as-fuck-ly worded letter voicing your displeasure.
Also, you could hit up your representative to ensure that this bill doesn’t make it any further than our largely worthless Senate.
